When You Get a Scottsdale Breast Augmentation - What to Expect and What to Safely Wear!

Everyone wants a larger breast. But from an aesthetic standpoint, it can be difficult to know where to begin. If you’re considering having breast augmentation, you might want to make sure you’re ready for the changes that come with getting bigger implants. Here are some things to know about getting a breast augmentation:

How the Body Responds to Breast Augmentation

When you have a breast augmentation, your body creates a new breast tissue to contain and maximize the breast surface area. The increased tissue thickness, and therefore, the more breast tissue your body creates, can sometimes lead to a “yolked-out” look to the area around your newly augmented breasts. Your body also responds to various drugs, such as anabolic steroids and human growth hormone, which can cause changes in your body that might make you feel self-conscious about your new body parts. If you’re experiencing any side effects from your medication, you should probably talk to your doctor before you get your implants. You might also experience changes in body image, such as an increased boldness or desire to show off your new breast, or an abnormal increase in breastaughning. In this case, your surgeon will need to carefully examine you to rule out any pre-augmentation surgery complications, and perform a mammogram to rule out any cancer.

What to Wear the First Day You Get Your New Breasts

Many women worry about getting a Scottsdale breast augmentation and wearing the new implants. While there is no “right” time to get your breast augmentation, there are some things you should consider wearing before, during, and after your procedure. If you’re planning to get your breast augmentation a few weeks before your actual surgery date, you should probably wear a push-up bra or a bridal weight support band. Some patients also wear them during sleeping, to help them feel more comfort with their new bodies. However, most women wear their implants the day of their procedure, and for the entire recovery period. You should probably wear your implants for a few days after your procedure, to make sure they’re in place and attached properly. And for the next 3-4 weeks, you should probably avoid bending, lifting, or trying to put any strain on your new breasts.

The Best Time to Have Your Breast Augmentation

Unfortunately, there’s no one “best” time to get a breast augmentation. Everyone’s body is different, and you should consider the timing of your procedure based on your comfort and convenience, as well as the comfort of the person performing your surgery. For example, if you’re in a rush and would rather have your surgery earlier in the day, you might have more difficulty with the implant placement than you would if you had time to relax and decompress. As mentioned above, you should probably get your implants a few weeks before your actual surgery date, to allow your body sufficient time to adjust to the new implants.

Getting a breast augmentation might seem like the best thing ever, but, really, it’s not that simple. Getting a breast augmentation is a big, life change that requires planning, flexibility, and a lot of focus on your own health and comfort. You should probably make sure you’re feeling comfortable, and confident, while you have your breasts enlarged. After all, this is the time when you can really make a statement about your sexuality and body confidence, right?
